Bill lived in Alvaton close to where my husband and I live. I didn't see him much, but when I did he was always so very nice and talked about our high school days. Bill was tragically killed when he drove over a low water bridge that was flooded, it was night and it was hard to determine how deep and swift the current was that swept his car into the swollen creek. Because of his drowning the county built the Trammel Creek Bridge which is right around the corner from my house.
