Employed Kroger Co. TN 15 years.  Marketing for Southeast United States 3 yrs. (worked on store circulars you received in the newspapers) and marketed food gifts to major corporations in the Southeast (if you got a ham or turkey for Christmas from your emplyer, Morris probably sold it to your boss to give to you).  He moved into store management and was the youngest manager in Kroger history assuming duty as manager of the first Super Kroger Store in Nashville, TN at the age of 28.

He moved to manage several different corporate stores in the Atlanta area prior to moving to Louisiana in 1991.  In Louisiana he enjoyed working for Al Copeland Companies.  He served as comptroller for Copeland's Seafood Restaurant in Shreveport and traveled to open Copeland's Restaurants and Comedy Clubs throughout the United States.

Morris passed away after a lengthly illness in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 17, 2005 and was interred in the McCoy family cemetery in Butler County, Ky.

He is survived by his mother, Exil G. McCoy of Bowling Green, Ky and his brother, Michael H. McCoy of Shreveport, LA.  Today, Michael lives in Louisiana and maintains the family home in Bowling Green, Ky.
